A: This unit without the mountig kit is exactly 16" wide. My window is 19" wide, so I put the accordion on one side only and sealed the other side with the insulation kit included with the unit. It will not fit on yout window if you want to use the accordions on both sides. Hope this helps. I uploaded a picture so you can see how it ends up.
