Q: Is the total height really only 35” which would put the cooking surface below normal counter height?
A: The answer provided by Frigidaire makes no sense compared to customer photographs of the unit. I believe the Frigidaire spec sheet is incorrect. I believe it may be a typo and the actual height the appliance might be 45". However, it would take someone (including someone at Frigidaire) to actually measure the unit in order to accurately confirm the height. If the unit indeed is only 35" then this would be considered an "ADA" height appliance which would have the cooking surface at about 27" high, designed for people in wheelchairs. Frigidaire needs to redo the specification sheet for this appliance.
Q: what type of oven does it have
A: The Frigidaire 5.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Induction Range features a conventional electric oven with a steam-clean function. The oven provides even baking and roasting, and the steam-clean option allows for easier maintenance by loosening food residue without harsh chemicals. The combination of induction cooktop and electric oven gives precise cooking control both on the stovetop and inside the oven. - Jessica

After a necessary upgrade to our house's electrical system, this new induction range has been operating perfectly in the cooktop function, though we haven't used the oven yet.

Easy to use. Induction is a change in the way you cook. Think of it as a change from electric to gas. This stove has been fantastic. You need good pans that you can test by placing a magnet on the bottom of the pan. The oven works well also. Stove top cleans up easily.
