A: Hi Kat, thanks for reaching out to us! We truly appreciate your interest in this fantastic top-freezer refrigerator and are happy to answer this question for you. Our garage-ready refrigerators are specially designed for use in a garage environment and have been extensively tested and proven to perform in ambient temperatures from 38°F to 110°F. They provide you with flexibility in location and are a great option for more extreme climates! These refrigerators can be identified by the "Dual Temp Control" option on the freezer air tower, which allows you to adjust the refrigerator and freezer controls during peak temperature swings to ensure the compressor operates frequently enough to keep stored food at safe temperatures. While this specific refrigerator is not a garage-ready model, we do offer a comparable refrigerator, model GTS19KGNRWW, that is! You can learn more about this model here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-19-1-cu-ft-top-freezer-refrigerator-white/6399140.p?skuId=6399140. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA
A: Hello Carol - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent refrigerator. We are always happy to help. The drawers can be accessed by opening the doors to 90 degrees. However, in order to remove the drawers for cleaning, the doors will need to open farther, by about 16". We hope this helps. Keep in touch! - JB
A: Hi there - thank you so much for reaching out to us! You're correct, this model does not have a machine compartment cover on the lower part of the exterior back of the unit. Rest assured, this is an intentional design and it will not affect the compressor's performance or effectiveness. We hope this helps! Be well, Kelsey@GEA
Q: Can back be flush with wall if top and sides comply with specs?
A: Hi DLCJ - Thanks for considering GE! We recommend to allow the following clearances for ease of installation, proper air circulation and plumbing and electrical connections: Sides: 1"; Top 4"; Back 3". See Quick Specs: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=GPE12FGK_FSK_r2.pdf - The refrigerator is designed, tested and manufactured to these specific specifications. Keep in touch! Sue
Q: HOW I CAN CHANGE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM WHRITE TO LEFT
A: Hi - Thanks for choosing GE! The instructions for reversing the door swing are provided in the Installation Instructions at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60749-2.PDF - Enjoy! SUE@GEA
A: The GPE12FSKSB does not have a separate temperature control for the freezer. The freezer compartment will be colder when the fresh food compartment temperature is lower. If your ice cream is too soft, you may need to experiment to determine the best location to keep your ice cream at the right serving temperature. The coldest location is typically at the rear of the freezer. -Don@GEAppliances
A: Hi there - We really appreciate you reaching out and we're glad to offer some insight. The cord comes out from the rear of the refrigerator, about 9" up from the floor and 3 1/2" over from the right as you face the front. The cord itself is about 5 to 6 feet long. We hope this helps! Let us know if you need anything moving forward - we're always happy to assist. All the best, Kelsey@GEA

No, it's not the biggest one, but it is Energy Star rated, which most of the smaller fridges are not. The interior is of course, sparkling, it's a new fridge, but also has more shelves in the door and the interior than expected. This works for me! It's also very streamlined and tidy in the design of the exterior and this also works for me. Finally, it is whisper quiet and I LOVE that about it!!! I trust GE to work great and for a long time. Would definitely recommend this wonderful appliance!

Great small fridge for my limited galley kitchen space. Well designed interior with a roomy freezer. Inside door compartments can hold large items like 2-liter bottles. Runs quiet and temps are consistent. BB delivery was efficient and courteous.

Great refrigerator. Easy to clean. Holds a lot more than my previous fridge of the same size. Only minus is that the door doesn't really close very well. You MUST make sure there is nothing close to the edge of the shelf or the door will pop back open. As well, when you close the refrigerator door if you have a lot in the freezer, the freezer door tends to pop open. As long as you are careful and I always double check...Otherwise, I am very happy with this refrigerator.
