Need-haul away?
Whether it's enjoying the tradition of making meals from scratch or tackling a mountain of muddy jeans and soccer jerseys, GE Appliances are crafted to support any and every task in the home. Take our dishwashers for example. They're built with a variety of features that make washing dishes more convenient and save you time by eliminating the need to prewash dishes. They're loaded with a variety of wash settings to create precise wash patterns that result in a clean you can always count on. And since it's not done until it's dry, most GE Appliances dishwashers feature Dry Boost or Dry Boost with Fan Assist to get hard-to-dry items like plastics up to three times drier. When it comes to peace of mind, we've got it covered with Active Flood Protect, a feature that protects your floors from rare water leaks and potential flooding. Q: Do I need to buy anything to install the dishwasher
A: Assuming you are replacing an existing DW, the only thing you're going to probably need is an adapter with a 3/8" compression inlet and a 3/4" Female Garden Hose (threaded), Sounds goofy. And it is. But almost every hardware carries it nowdays and it costs like $5. It does make the DW easier to hook up. Older DWs were serviced by 3/8" compression ended water lines (doesn't matter what the water line was-copper, braided steel, CPVC), and this fitting mates to the "old" plumbing and then mates to the DW with basically a female garden hose end. If you're doing a "new" install or removing all the old stuff back to the appliance shutoff valve, there's a great kit made by Proline Plumbing or by Watts at the big box stores for $20. They include about 10' of new steel-braided supply hose, the 3/8"x3/4" FGHT adapter, and 1/2"x3/8" adapter for goofy pipe ends (not on the DW side).
A: According to the technician that serviced mine, yes. Even High Dry Boost does that. I never heard of such BS in my life
