A: I believe it is your ice maker There is a switch upper left corner in the freezer.. Turn to off I believe you have it on and no water supply to fridge..?

Q: Is the internal water chilled or tap temperature?
A: Hi Clion - Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. Thanks for your interest! Sue
Q: What size door opening is needed to fit the frig through?
A: Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this French Door refrigerator! We certainly understand how important the size of the unit is so you can get it in your home, and can advise the refrigerator has dimensions of 69 7/8 H x 35 3/4 W x 35 7/8 D. The height of the unit is just under 70" and the width is a little under 36". The door opening would need to accommodate those dimensions to get the refrigerator through and be at least 36” wide; if your door is less than that, the doors can be removed to move the unit inside. Further details are available in the installation instructions, on our GE website. The carton that the refrigerator comes in will have these approximate dimensions: Length – 36.5”, Width – 39.2” and Height – 71.3”; if you will still have it packaged when it goes through the door you may need to take those measurements into account as well. Q: Does this fridge use r600a?

A: I just bought one without a water dispenser. I have no intensions of connecting the water for anything. After being connected and on for a little bit, the refrigerator would suddenly make a loud hammering noise and then go silent again periodically over and over. We had a technician come out and informed us that because we did not connect the water supply and did not turn off the icemaker on the inside, the unit kept trying to draw water but there was none so the valve that controls that would vibrate and rattle loudly. He turned off the icemaker and - - - silence is golden. End of problem.

Not for me
The half-shelf is useless to me, I took it out as you can't fit enough items on/under it. Would prefer more shelf & door options for adjusting where they go. Produce and freezer compartments seem flimsy. To turn off ice cube maker you have to reach into the back of freezer and find turn off button, would prefer a button in the door to do this (which I had in a different product). Only bought this GE as the product I really wanted did not come in slate. This refrigerator replaced the side-by-side that builder put in the home.

Best Refrigerator Ever!
This is by far the best refrigerator I've ever owned. I liked it so much I bought two, one for my home and another for a rental. The gray finish is sleek, resists fingerprints and doesn't rust like stainless steel. The water inside the door is great, and the ice maker works like a dream-loads of ice. I live in a hot, humid climate, so I love the features. Glass shelves are so easy to clean, and there's space for everything! I had my first one for four years before buying the second, and had not a single problem. Fantastic refrigerator!

Sleek and clean design
Sleek clean and spacious I wish there was a little more support in the middle shelves as they sag with heavy weight like gallons of milk or my husbands 12 pack but have not had any issues out of our frusge for the last 2 years
