A: Hi - Thanks for viewing our GE Gas Ranges! Model JGBS30DEKWW has an electronic ignition system. The automatic pilotless ignition (also called automatic electric or automatic electronic ignition) saves energy by eliminating the task of lighting the burners. It also saves money by using 30% less gas than a standing pilot range. Because this system has no standing pilot light, no gas is being used unless it is needed. With the spark ignitor system, electricity simply sparks when control is turned to the LITE position. Gas is simultaneously released and ignites when it comes in contact with the spark. Should there be a power failure, the oven will not function but the burners may be lit with a match. Simply hold the match near the burner, turn the control to LITE. Exercise extreme caution when lighting the burners in this manner. The cooktop surface is cool to the touch when not in use because there is no pilot light burning continuously. The glow bar in the oven will cycle on and off with the oven temperature. We do not offer a model with a standing pilot. Also, check out our Hotpoint range model RGB518PCHWH with Cordless Ignition. A 9 volt battery supplies the power to the electronic igniters. Depending on the use of the range the battery is estimated to last 3 years. Q: does this stove run on propane gas

GE Appliances recommends a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas range, oven, or cooktop to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) or included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. I hope this helps. Q: Time back? yes? It can turn off automatically when back time is over?
A: Hi - Model JGBS30DEKWW is not equipped with a clock/timer. Models with no clock or timer do not have automatic shutdown. Most ovens and ranges with touch pad clock controls will automatically shut off after 12 hours. The benefit of this is the peace-of-mind and energy savings if the oven is accidentally left on. A: Hi JuliusL - The range has an electronic ignition, therefore, requires 120V/15A. The automatic pilotless ignition eliminates the need to light the burners. A: Hi wormink - This range has a lower broiler drawer. Only a clean broil pan should be stored in the broiler drawer. Great Gas Range
I love my new gas range. Only thing I have an issue with is the burners and caps. My range was installed on July 4th, and one burner is already messed up and 2 of the burner caps paint is coming off. I do not know what happened, but it does not look so good. I went to wash them and they looked horrible. Those are made cheap to me. Range however is beautiful and works great.
