Nail-bitin' time to be buying GPUs, ain't it? Best Buy got this one to me in a week and a day after ordering, and had a better price than any of the major competitors online. First thing I did when I got it in was see how far I could overclock it - about +450 on the core when raising the voltage, resulting in up to 3300MHz gaming clocks, and an easy +2000mhz on the VRAM with the score going up repeatably the whole time (that is, not running into ECC issues, it just HAS that speed in it). Still running pretty cool, too, they really overbuilt the cooler on this gigantic card! Next, I found a sweet spot undervolting it that retained the vast majority of performance gains but tightens up voltage to about 0.985V max. Manually adjusting the F/V curve has great results with this card, allowing you to That was good for anywhere from 50W-80W power draw reduction, and even cooler temperatures, while still staying above 24000 in 3DMark Port Royal (which was my target after OCing got me into the mid 24000s). I have attached a screenshot of all benchmarks run on my PC so you can see what I'm working with. Please note, I work on audio with this PC, and I prioritize low noise from it. My 12900K processor in it is, as you can see from pics, air-cooled, and wattage limited to no more than 250W, with a temperature limit of no more than 90ºC (which is 10 degrees cooler than stock limits), which does result in slightly worse scores than other 12900K users who have water cooling and are pumping 300-400W into the same CPU. The 5080 replaced an AMD 9070 XT, which topped out at about 19500 on Port Royal after overclocking. That card replaced a Ventus 3080 12GB, which with its restricted power delivery managed about 12K in the same benchmark when undervolted. As you can imagine, the 5080 has been an absolutely thunderous upgrade in gaming, allowing me to play games in 4K with RT on which I never was able to do before.

I am in love with this card. I never see my card go above 65C, its super quiet. My AIO is louder. got a 2868 score in timespy 3d benchmarks out of the box, most 5080s get a 2400-2600 score. The octopus adapter it comes with stops voltage sag etc. Super worth it, but I did get a 10% discount off it. Wish it were a bit cheaper. but i am super happy with it.

Used almost exclusively with MS Flight Simulator, I upgraded from an EVGA RTX 3090 and an i9-9900K system. I initially build a new system with an AMD 9800X3d CPU with my existing RTX 3090 card. I saw a huge improvement with the new CPU, but this new card really lets me nearly max out the settings on a 34" UHD monitor. You can see the size difference from the 3090, so you need a large case. It runs much cooler than the 3090 too. I wish it had more VRAM, but other than that, it's a great card if you get it at MSRP.
