Q: When we plugged our vaccum into the charger the light flashes red. Is this normal?

A: I think the battery is not in place properly. Remove battery, and FIRMLY put it into place, then plug in the charger. Hope this helps.

A: This maybe sound stupid, but did you make sure that the brush is turned on? The button on the top turns the brush on/off. The brush is not on by default.
Q: How much does the vacuum weigh?
A: Box says less than 5 pounds. It is very light, works great and easy to maneuver.
A: Try it with one of the accessories. My vacuum is doing the same thing but only because the brush won’t spin. If I turn the brush off or if I use the upholstery brush or edger it works fine. Just something else to try
