Is the power cord included, or does it need to be purchased separately?
Answered by GE AnswersNo, the power cord is not included. You will need to purchase a power cord kit for this dryer. You will need a UL rated 120/240V, 30A with 3 or 4 prongs. Be sure to identify the plug type as per the house receptacle before purchasing line cord.
The connection to start the dryer is not working It was not working and I could push the door in and it would work but now no connection Help
Answered by GE AnswersFirst, make sure that the dryer plug wasn’t accidentally unplugged and that the plug is pushed completely into the outlet. It could be due to a blown fuse or circuit breaker tripped. Check the building’s fuse/circuit breaker box and replace both fuses or reset both breakers. NOTE: Some electric dryers use 2 fuses/breakers, make sure both are operating. To ensure you have the correct parts for the exhaust installation, we recommend you review the section titled: "Tools And Materials You Will Need To Install Exhaust Duct" on pg. 12 of the Installation Instructions on the Hotpoint website. The materials can be purchased on bestbuy.com or on the GE Appliances parts website. Both GTX33EASKWW or HTX26EASWWW would be a great addition to your home!
