Q: Will this machine work with just black ink or do you have to buy color ink as well?
A: The LaserJet models that use the HP 410 toner cartridges do have a feature that allow printing in just black if a color toner cartridge is empty. You will be prompted before printing to replace the empty cartridge, but this does not prohibit you from printing.
Q: are the 410 cartridges compatible with the 201 and 202 cartridges ?
A: The 410 cartridges are for the MFP477 HP LaserJet Pro. I think the 201 & 202 cartridges are for a different model of HP printer, the M252 & MFP 277
