Q: can a dvd/cd player be added to this pc?

A: Not internally. However, you can use an external drive that connects to a USB port on the computer.

A: It may have been used briefly, but the computer will be put back into it's original configuration. The Dragonfly computers were introduced in the beginning of this year, and yes, they still come with the factory warranty of a year from the time you purchase the computer.

Good laptop despite being heavy
The HP Dragonfly Pro 14” laptop offers an overall good user experience. I got this particular machine because I wanted a dedicated travel laptop for internet browsing and checking emails on-the-go. Here are some features that stood out to me. SIZE & WEIGHT: The Dragonfly Pro is a good size and I like the small charger it comes with. I recommend this as an every-day, casual browsing laptop that sits in an office or a spot in a home. Considering it weighs 3.4 lbs, I might not use this as a travel laptop like I had planned. It’s a little heavy and not ideal in a backpack if you’re lugging it around a lot. If travel time is short and you don’t mind the weight, it’s still a good machine. But personally, it’s a little heavy to travel with for my liking. MEMORY: I find that 32GB RAM Memory is sufficient to handle a lot of Chrome tabs and video playback. I even did a little video editing with Clipchamp Video Editor. I assume this is because of the high-performance AMD Ryzen processor. Startup takes a little under 30 seconds. STORAGE: I mostly use external SSDs so 1TB is going to be plenty. I’m very content with that storage size. DEDICATED KEYS: The right-most column of the keyboard has 4 dedicated keys. The first 3 keys open up the “myHP” app, each to the 3 main menu items. The 4th key is a custom key that opens up any desired webpage, application, file or folder. The custom key is awesome! However, I find the custom key more beneficial than the 3 keys that go to the same app. I would prefer 3 custom keys and 1 myHP key to better utilize the space those keys are taking up. USB-C PORTS: This laptop has 3 ports. (1) standard USB-C port and (2) USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 for faster file transfer. Given the thickness of the laptop body, I’m surprised it doesn’t have more inputs like HDMI or an SD card slot. Still, I’m glad to have more than 2 ports so I can plug in multiple displays, devices, and hubs. ACTION KEYS F1-F12: The actions keys are pretty straight forward, but my favorite is definitely the quick access “screenshot” button! I wish all devices had that - I use it a lot. BATTERY: The charge has been great so far. I use this laptop for as little as 10 minutes, maybe up to 1 hour in a sitting and use it 1-2 times per day. I charged it once or twice in the last week and I’m at 49% right now. BACKLIT KEYBOARD: I prefer a keyboard backlight and I go with the lower of 2 brightness settings. It will turn off due to inactivity but when you’ve turned it on once (F4) it will come back on when you type again. DISPLAY: This 1920 x 1200 widescreen display is vivid and sharp. I watch plenty of video both from files or on the internet and the screen has been very crisp. The touch aspect is helpful too, sometimes I find myself trying to touch the screen on other laptops that don’t have that feature so I clearly like it! SCREEN BRIGHTNESS: I typically need lower brightness and I’m happy with the low end of this setting. Honestly, this is one of the most vital settings for me and my health. Overall, I do like this laptop but I wish it would weigh even half a pound less than it does. I think holding a laptop one-handed maxes out at around 3 lbs for me.

The MacBook Air of Windows Laptop
The HP Dragonfly Pro is an excellent premium portable laptop with plenty of power and battery life to spare. HP almost knock it out of the ballpark if it wasn’t for some minor missteps. For the most part, the Dragonfly Pro is well worth the admission price. Starting off with the style and build quality, HP has done a superb job by using premium quality materials with some style hints of another popular laptop. It’s a very nice-looking laptop with a subtle design. Not only does it look premium but it's feels premium too. Performance let’s just it’s plenty fast for 99% of the users out there unless you’re doing intensive tasks like video or graphics editing. The Ryzen 7736u is the perfect processor for this laptop. Not only is it fast but it’s also power efficient which translates to excellent battery life and cooler temps. This is actually my first Windows laptop that I can confidently say is almost good as Apple's offering. The cherry top to all of this is the Radeon 680m iGPU. It was the most powerful iGPU in the market until it got superseded by the Radeon 780m. To keep things moving along quickly, HP went with 6400mhz LPDDR5. All you need to know is this ram is very fast. Not only will this do wonders for your multi-tasking needs, but also help when it comes time to play your favorite pc games. Storage is also very fast. Power and speed is not something you will question with the HP Dragonfly Pro. As for the keyboard and touchpad, both are very good. The keys have a good amount of depth without feeling too soft. It’s not the best keyboard out there but not a terrible one either. The backlight does get plenty bright and it’s adjustable by 2 levels. The touchpad is actually a haptic one. The haptic feedback is decent but could use some improvement. Overall I think the majority of users will be satisfied with the keyboard and touchpad. As I mention earlier there are some missteps that HP took. The first one is the display. It’s a decent display by no means does this mean it’s a terrible one. The colors are excellent and it does get plenty bright for most environments, and last but not least it’s also a touchscreen. On a sunny day, you might struggle with it though. The issue is that plenty of laptops around this price point offer higher-resolution displays along with higher refresher rates. Even a higher bump to 1440p with a 120hz refresh rate would have made this display sweeter. To HP’s defense increasing the resolution and refresh rate does take a hit on battery life. Still would of prefer to have the option to turn them off, in situations I needed to preserve battery life. On to the second and that is port selection. You only get 3 USB C ports with the left ones being Thunderbolt 3 compatible. All 3 are capable of charging. The one that left my head scratching is the lack of a headphone port. It’s not a deal breaker but make sure to pick up some dongles since HP doesn’t include any. As for the final one, nothing is upgradeable. So do make sure you pick the right one for your type of workload. One feature that may stand out for those that aren’t tech-savvy is the My HP service. It’s 24/7 tech support that is available with the push of a button. HP does provide a trial, but there is a monthly fee if you want to keep the service. If you’re looking for a similar support system to an IT department, this service might be worth looking at. If it wasn’t for the screen and port selection this easily would have been a 5 out of 5 rating from me. Even with those small quirks the HP Dragonfly Pro still delivers a solid experience. It has more than enough power to handle most of your needs without sacrificing battery life. It’s the most balanced Windows laptop out there but instead of sacrificing power and battery, you get the best of both worlds.

Lightweight, powerful-Bright vivid pane
Overall Thin and gorgeous laptop, exceptional quality built in. The HP Dragonfly is an ultralight magnesium chassis laptop with a rather rigid build. It houses a beautiful, 400 nits display, thin bezels, and long battery life. All while powered by an AMD Ryzen™ 7 7736U and 32 GB LPDDR5-6400 MHz RAM. This makes for a light and powerful machine. Features The Dragonfly Pro comes with one of the most comfortable laptop keyboards I've ever used on a portable. It's spacious, well laid out, and the keys have some type of grip to them. They've integrated security/privacy right into the keyboard. From dedicated mic and camera mute/disabling keys to a fingerprint reader. It comes with 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports and 1x USB Type-C. HP claims it can last up to 15 hours. While I do believe this to be accurate, I cannot confirm. My sporadic use-case has forced me to charge around the 12 hour mark. It supports fast charging, which is incredibly fast. The integrated speakers provide a rich audio experience, one of the best I've heard in recent times. This doesn't really sound like audio from a laptop, more closely to a Bluetooth speaker. There's 2 solid padding strips along the bottom from 1 side to the other. I've typically only seen these with aftermarket keyboards. The display is incredibly bright at peak brightness. Color tones are bright and vivid. Viewing a movie on this display confirmed it was fantastic. The touchscreen is quick and responsive. Pinching, swiping, and tapping had a fast reaction. A quick flick of the finger on any article proved to be smooth. The touchpad offers buttery smooth navigation controls. From pinching to 2 finger scrolling and WIndows 4 finger swipe. Unlike other touchpads, the Dragonfly comes packed with a tactile sensor. Clicking anywhere on the 3x5" touchpad registers as a left click. The bottom right, a space roughly 1x0.5" is reserved for a right click. Performance I ran several benchmarks here including opening 20 browser windows while playing a video file. The Dragonfly handled that admirably. Although it isn't meant to be used for games, I also gave that a try. From Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Ashes of the Singularity, Ghostrunner, and Genshin Impact. Everything ran perfectly fine with some changes to each game's graphics settings. The NVME scores 3549/3470 MB/s Read/Write with a PSEIB001TABBMC0 NVME drive. The firmware version on this seems to imply this to be an HP branded drive. Looking up this exact model returns no real results. Conclusion At the end of the day, this is a truly powerful productivity machine to take on the go. It's beautiful, built well, and incredibly light compared to size. This without a doubt is worth 5-stars.
