The 7001's print speed is slightly faster at15 pages per minute black/9 pages per minute color (the 6001 prints 12 pages per minute black/7 pages per minute color).
Q: If this was to sit for 1 or 2 months at a time will the ink in the machine dry out?
A: Thank you for the question. The ink in the tank will not dry out, but the ink in the tubes that feed the printheads may change viscosity. It depends on the climate/environment where the printer is located. To ease any doubt, print one page every 1-2 weeks (even from your phone) to keep the ink moving through the feed tubes and the printheads primed and healthy.
