The honeycomb-style wick helps trap mineral pollutants found in water to reduce deposits, while the heavy-duty aluminum mesh frame is designed to hold its shape over the life of the panel. A porous ceramic-type coating absorbs water and maintains proper hydration to support the evaporation process that generates comfortable indoor humidity. Sized at 9 1/2 in x 9 7/8 in x 1 5/8 in, it is made for quick replacement: remove the old panel and install the new one, sliding the panel into the scale control insert with the colored marker up. For optimum performance, replace about every 6 months or more often in hard water areas.
