A: It can be either depending on where you set the temperature. Temperature range for Freezing is 10 deg F to -11 deg F with a recommended setting of Zero. Temperature range for Refrigerator is 35 deg to 46 deg.. It was in store and available in my area.
Q: Are the shelves wire? Are they adjustable?
A: Yes the shelves are wire permitting air to flow which aids in the frost free feature. Thre are 4 wire shelves. They rest on tracks formed by the sides protruding inward. The top shelf has only 1 set of tracks to rest on. The middle 2 shelves each have 2 sets of tracks to rest on. The 2 sets of tracks for each are about 2-3 inches apart. There is a wire basket in the bottom. The bottom wire shelf rests on a set of tracks just above the wire basket.
Q: The claimed cubic feet is 21.05 what is the actual usable cubic feet. Thank you.
A: The Owner's Manual says 21 cu ft. With door storage, it's too hard to re-calculate. So I'd believe it. The useable space on each shelf is from side to side is about 26 1/2 inches. From the back to the inside of the door is about 18 inches. The bottom shelf is about 26 1/2 inches wide by about 18 inches deep. The bins in the door begin just above the bottom shelf. So the top 3 shelves are 26 1/2 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The bins in the door protrude into the freezer about 4 1/2 inches. The compressor and refrigeration unit is in the bottom back, so there is an internal hump across the bottom back which is about 4 inches deep (front to back) and about 12 inches high. This space is subtracted from the back side of the wire basket. Th inside usable height is about 68 inches.

A: No, not on my 21 cu ft model. The hinges are on the right and the handle is on the left as you face the front.
Q: Can this model be used in a garage in the Midwest?
A: Yes I have mine in my garage in a storage room attached along with 2 chest freezers and an upright freezer
Q: Is this freezer ice maker compatiable
A: There is no water hookup, so unless you want to use ice cube trays, nope.
