Q: Does it come already assembled?
A: Requires assembly but it is minimal. Pretty much a no tools required construction that you see from other manufacturers. Only tool needed was a screwdriver to attach door handles.
Q: What are the outside dimensions of the stand?
A: Betty - I have had the console for about two weeks. Fits the bill - the right height for me and my recliners/chairs/sofa. The dark colour doesn't compete with the programs. The console measures in inches 54 wide, 24 high and 18 deep. I had the Geeks put it together - takes two people. Hope this helps!
Q: Height and width of openings??
A: Center channel area is 49" long & 5.5" high The component area is 49" long & 6" high each (there are 2 shelves)
Q: is the wood in this stand actual wood or just pressed wood/particle board?
A: Hello, this TV stand is manufactured with a birch wood veneer and includes a tempered safety glass top surface. Regards, Daniel T. - Insignia Support
A: Yes they can. You may have to ser how yours lines up to determine what shelf to put each item on.
Q: What are the dimensions and weight of the package?
A: Package dimensions are 57.5" x 24.75" x 8". Weight is 123.5 lb plus packaging weight (possibly 3-5 lb since it is well packaged).
Q: Is the top glass? And is the color mocha on the darker side of brown?
A: The top is glass but it is very dark and sleek. And it's a pretty dark mocha. But definitely mocha and not just a dark brown. I know some stores have displays of it if you want to check it out. But I bought it and it looks perfect in my living room
A: No adjustment, but you could leave the middle piece out to give a much bigger bottom shelf. I currently have my sound bar on the top shelf with Xbox and ps on the next down shelf behind the doors.
