Excellent product
I give IOGEAR - Hub a 5 star review as in the past, I did purchase similar items with different brands, but none of them worked properly. IOGEAR - Hub is the best.

Fine
The device works as advertised. All four ports work. The cable is a bit short, though. Also note that the tolerances on the included connector end are a bit tight, and may damage certain USB ports if used repeatedly.

Hub
The hub s small but added more flexibility to my computer which only has 2 USB ports. Now I can add additional devices. Eliminates the need to disconnect to add portable hard drives. Would be nice if the connection cable would be a little longer. Great size for portability

Questions & Answers

Would this work on a MacBook air for a headset and a separate microphone? The other USB is taken by a wireless mouse connector. (Only two USB ports on MacBook air)
I don't have a Mac, but I would assume a USB port is a USB port. I am using it on a Dell windows machine with only one regular USB port. I have my mouse, an external light and a passport drive plugged in. It has been working fine.

Do you have a USB connector for cell phone to a portable hard drive. Move my pictures from my cell phone?
I'm not very savvy about such things, but I have used a cable, usb at one end and phone connector at the other end, to connect to my pc to transfer pictures from my android phone. I've never had a use for and external driver, other than flashdrives/pendrives. The usb hub with the 4 usb ports listed here, is not for the purpose you describe.

It will as long as the printer can plug into a USB port.

will this work with windows 10, and will it take a lot of volts? will it take a dvd writer, external drives, printer, scanner, charge and sync iphone, garmin device, writing/drawing tablet
This is not a 'powered' usb hub. I cannot speak to using it for many of the devices you mentioned. I would advise purchasing a more powerful hub than this one. Or, roll the dice. I've been quite happy with it, but my needs are more simple than yours.

No, the cord it comes with can't be removed unfortunately.
