The USB-C 3.1 to Type-A Adapter provides connectivity from a USB-C notebook, tablet or smartphone to a USB Type-A connection . It is also compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices. This is a USB-C male to USB Type-A female adapter that is designed to work with existing USB devices. This USB-C adapter supports a max charging speed of 1.5A, protecting your devices from the damage of overcurrent. It also supports data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps.

    Perfect for compatibility

    I recently received a new MacBook Pro and it only had USB-C ports, and I needed to connect it to "regular" USB Flash drives using the A-connector. Worked perfectly, can even boot using this device. Compact and works good on Mac and my new PC 2-in-1 laptop(and yes, can boot on there too). Short cable allows for flexibility and preventing things from sticking out too far. I have not tested this using audio interfaces that require power, MIDI interfaces,or my DMX lighting interfaces yet. I also have not attempted to use it with my USB-3 video capture device. It should work fine with any of my other powered gear.

    Helpful Accessory for my Dell Laptop

    Purchased the Type C to USB 3.0 connector to use the port and works just fine. No issues or problems encountered The adapter seems to be heavy duty and not very large to me is helpful.

    Worked fantastic

    Had to migrate my files from my old iMac to a new Macbook Pro and wow did it move fast from the USB 3.0 External drive to the MacBook Pro via this USB-c to USB 3.0 adapter. Any 2016 or newer MacBook Pro owner needs one of these to connect with the old world technology.

    Perfect cable for connecting USB C devices

    Great for new laptops with USB C onboard and legacy peripheral devices such as storage. Terrible solution for legacy laptops with standard USB connections to connect to USB C peripherals , as you would need to purchase additional cables to make it work. I found a USB A to USB C cable on Amazon. None were available at Best Buy at the time.

    No, this adapter converts Type-C to USB-A. You would need a Type-C to HDMI adapter like the JCA153G or JCC153G.
