With the flip of a switch, it can be set as a Dolby Atmos enabled add-on, or a wall mounted elevation or surround loudspeaker. The 240H features a 2-way way design with Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide geometry, 1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum dome tweeter, and a 4.5-inch (114mm) Polycellulose ribbed cone woofer.

The JBL Control HST speaker uses Hemispherical Soundfield Technology™ to provide wide, consistent audio coverage and minimize wall reflection issues that distort sound. It's design includes a wall-facing woofer and splayed tweeters, enabling full-range sound from a single speaker across large areas, reducing the number needed and cutting system costs.
