When it comes to physical technology, LS50 Wireless II takes its lead from KEF’s LS50 Meta passive loudspeakers. A truly revolutionary tool in the KEF acoustic armoury, Metamaterial Absorption Technology1 (MAT) is a highly complex maze-like structure, where each of the intricate channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. When combined, the channels act as an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of the unwanted sound that comes from the rear of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and providing a purer, more natural sound.

5 out of 5 stars. I'd give it more stars if I could. These are the most natural and pristine sounding speakers I've ever heard (pun intended!). I own the KEF LS50, which I always held in high regard for its stellar quality, but they sound like cheap headphones that went through the washing machine, compared to the Reference One. These speakers bring together audiophile-grade acoustics to museum-quality artwork. The attention to detail is exquisite. The loud color makes it all the more gorgeous to look, which I find my self staring when I'm not even listening to anything! They are just so captivating. Jaw-dropping, leaves you speechless and overwhelmingly emotionally charged. Yes they are expensive but worth every single dollar. The clarity is unreal. I have the black stand to go with the blue UniQ model and it's a fun pairing. Regardless of your choice of color or stands, be prepared to have your socks blow off. Seriously- it is so clear and full (despite its bookshelf size) sounding that you would swear you were hearing movies/music/etc LIVE if you closed your eyes. Furthermore, their ability project a wide but directed sound-stage is unrivaled Sometimes I have to double check I am in stereo (2.1) mode on my Marantz SR8015 because they project sound dead-on in the middle that makes me think the center channel is being used. But much to my surprise, it is only those two speakers captivating the room full of sound. My only gripe was it took a few months to arrive, not something I was expecting upon purchase, but holy hell, they are entirely worth the wait. Whatever you thought your best speaker was, whether it was $30 or $30,000....these tiny but mighty speakers will entirely redefine your definition of what sounds good. Please do yourself a favor and purchase these. I promise they're work the cost and wait.
