The Keystone 8,000 BTU 115V through-the-wall air conditioner with 4,200 BTU Supplemental Heat Capability is perfect for rooms up to 350 square feet. In addition to cooling, this versatile unit also offers supplemental heat capability, providing you with an additional heat source to your main heat source when outdoor temperatures are above 45 degrees Fahrenheit. It has electronic controls with LED display and a temperature sensing LCD remote control allowing you to conveniently see, set and maintain the room temperature from across the room. Money saving features include energy saver mode, sleep mode and a programmable 24-hour timer. Plus, quiet operation (51.8 dB on low) helps you get a good night's sleep. This unit is designed for through-the-wall installation and is not designed for standard window installation (WALL SLEEVE SOLD SEPARATELY). Supplemental Heating mode meant to be operated when temperatures outside are between 23 & 76 degrees. Mode is supplemental and NOT meant as primary heat source.
A: Don't believe it has one. Water is evaporated from the air conditioner.
A: It is not placed ON the wall, it is placed THROUGH the wall. It is just like a window air conditioner except that it goes through the wall into a metal sleeve (which must be purchased separately ). You also have to have the wall opening cut to fit the sleeve if it is not already there. The water is evaporated outside the room so there is no leakage into the room.
Q: What are the actual dimentions?
A: The dimensions are 24.2 inches x 14.5 inches x 23.3 inches. WxHxD
Q: The specs say this has a 7 inch cord. I'm hoping that's a typo. Is that correct?
A: It is more like 7 feet. I discovered this when they were installed and took the extension cords I bought at Lowe's back.
Q: Hello. I installed my window unit. Using the heat but it is not heating.
A: This unit is only designed to assist in maintaining the temperature of a room's primary heat source by providing supplemental warmth. This means the heat mode is only able to function properly when outdoor temperatures are above 45°F.
A: I used it in an existing sleeve. The standard sleeve is 26' wide. The air conditioner was 24" wide. It comes with foam to fill in the space. I assume it blows hot air out the back, since none is coming out the front.
