Q: How many sguare feet does it cover
A: I live in 535 sqft apartment but i keep it in bed room thats a little over 200 sqft
A: I plug mine into the outlet, not extension cord, if your's was plugged into the wall outlet, then you may have a Faulty outlet? We keep ours on low to conserve energy.
Q: I have small children, does the unit get hot to the touch?
A: It gets warm, but has never gotten hot to the touch so far for us.
Q: What is the noise level generated by the heater? dB?
A: barely any noise.
A: They will get warm, but not hot if you use them a long time. As with any heater, o always unplug after use.
