This brand new plastic model kit of the North American P-51D Mustang Aircraft, produced by Airfix, comes with two scheme options and is classified as a Level 4 1/24 scale model. The kit is packaged in vintage-style, officially licensed, unopened manufacturer’s packaging and contains 227 detailed parts molded in light gray unless otherwise indicated. Paint and cement are required but not included, and a display stand is not provided. The North American P-51D Mustang, one of the most iconic fighter aircraft of World War II, was renowned for its long-range capabilities, speed, and firepower. Originally designed in response to a British request for a new fighter, the Mustang first flew in 1940. Early models, equipped with the Allison V-1710 engine, had limited high-altitude performance, but with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the P-51 became a dominant aerial force. Introduced in 1944, the P-51D was the most produced variant, featuring a bubble canopy for improved visibility, six .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns, and enhanced fuel capacity, allowing it to escort bombers deep into enemy territory.
