Q: Is this compatible with a roku tv? If not what do I need ?
A: This soundbar will work with a Roku as long as your TV is compatible with a Roku. Remember that you don't connect any device directly to this soundbar. You connect your devices to your TV and the soundbar via HDMI or optical cable for sound from your TV.
A: The SL6Y has a Power (Standby) button that turns the soundbar on and off. This unit will turn itself off to save electric consumption when the main unit is not connected to an external device and is not used for 15 minutes. This unit automatically turns on by an input source : Optical, LG TV or Bluetooth. When you turn on your TV or an external device connected to this unit, this unit recognizes the input signal and selects the suitable function. You can hear the sound from your device. If you try to connect your Bluetooth device, this unit turns on and the unit will be connected to your Bluetooth device. To turn on this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control for about 3 seconds and press it once again while “OFF - AUTO POWER” is scrolled. To check the status of this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control. To turn off this function, press and hold the information button on the remote control for about 3 seconds and press it once again while “ON - AUTO POWER” is scrolled. ^CP

A: I recently purchased the soundbar myself I mostly use it for gaming as well as occasional movies and music the action sounds (explosions and gunshots) are great I put the sound bar through a test of music with some oldies,bass havy dubstep,rap, classic rock and country I can say it has amazing sound for the price.
A: The LG SL6Y 3.1 Channel 420W Sound Bar w/DTS Virtual X & High Resolution Audio does not support multi-pairing. Pairing for this unit is limited to one Bluetooth device per unit, so you cannot pair it to a TV and to a pair of Bluetooth Headphones at the same time...^IFV
A: Yes its compatible and once you setup the SPK8 it automatically connects to the SL6Y. I highly recommended getting the SPK8 for a complete surround sounds experience. It did make a big difference fr a 3.1 to a 5.1 channels. Note, its not completely wireless since you need to run the wire fr the two speakers to the wireless receiver. If you already owned the SL6Y, better to do HDMI arc connection bc it auto-connect to tv and better sounds too. Good Luck and enjoy!

A: I don't understand that. I would unplug everything. Plug the sound bar back in. Turn it on. Plug the sub-woofer into an electrical outlet and it should pair immediately.
