Q: is there a difference between the standard LifX Z light strips and the LifX Z "TV" strips?
A: No difference. You're better off getting the 9ft. Kit for 30.00 more. The Z TV kit only comes with a 3ft strip. Useless if you want to light up the edge of your TV all the way around.
Q: How does it stay on tv And does it plug in? Batteries?
A: adhesive backing...just peel off the paper and stick. There's no batteries to use. You plug it into the wall and then use the app to add it to your wifi network. Control the lighting through the app or asking Alexa or Google Home.
Q: What size TV is this item sized for?
A: Definitely works best for a 46” and above tv but I finessed these on my 42” and it looks great
Q: Are These long enough to use on an 86' tv?
A: No. It's only a 3ft strip of LEDs. Can't do much with that especially if you want to put them near the edges of the TV
Q: Can I choose a solid color as if not in mood for multiple?
A: Yes you can, on the app tap on the room you have it set up on and select palette, you should be able to see different solid colors, they also have a color wheel for more options.
