Both albums spawned multiple popular singles such as Let me Out and Blood Moon Fever. Fast forward to 2023, after a two-year down period and revamped line-up, LIV Sin is now completely recharged and ready to hit the stages again. Not forgetting the record shops' racks, with their new album, InchKaliYugaInch. The theme of Kali Yuga was also reflected in the album's writing process. InchSince we produced this album ourselves, we definitely tried out a lot of new things, and I confess, I went a bit crazy with the vocals in certain partsInch, LIV declares. Musically, InchKali YugaInch is LIV Sin, on steroids! I am ecstatic with the outcomeInch. With such an album in hands, LIV Sin could only pick a production team that would do justice to the songs. Simon Johansson (from Wolf and Memory Garden fame) and Mike Wead (King Diamond and Mercyful Fate axeman) were summoned to record the album, while the mix and mastering duties were delivered to console-wizard Tue Madsen (Witchery, The Haunted, At The Gates, etc). The album Tribe Called Quest wanted to make from the very beginning. It's their most even, consistent album of the original trilogy that also includes People's Instinctive Travels... and the Low End Theory. But in spite of this, or maybe because of it, it's also their most uninteresting. With so many competent tracks, there's no chance for something to stand out above the pack, like InchScenarioInch did on Low End Theory or InchCan I Kick ItInch did on People's Instinctive Travels. The celebration is there (InchStir It UpInch), the jazz drums kick (InchOh My GodInch), and the stand-up bass dribbles, keeping perfect pace with Q-Tip's unmistakable mic-touch (InchElectric RelaxationInch). There's even a Native Tongues armistice/reunion with de la Soul (InchAwards TourInch). Although it comes together like a seamless tutorial in jazz hip-hop style, it comes together so damn well that it's hard for any one track to excel, cursing the album with consistent quality. Album Tracks 1. Midnight Marauders Tour Guide 2. Steve Biko (Stir It Up) 3. Award Tour 4. 8 Million Stories 5. Sucka Nigga 6. Midnight 7. We Can Get Down 8. Electric Relaxation 9. Clap Your Hands 10. Oh My God 11. Keep It Rollin' 12. Chase, Pt. 2 13. Lyrics to Go 14. God Lives Through
