Folded Motion Tweeter
This miracle of audio engineering gives high efficiency and low distortion a new benchmark. Our signature Folded Motion Tweeter uses an extremely lightweight diaphragm, in a space saving “folded” design, to deliver incredible detail, speed, and accuracy in a small space.
Fiberglass Woofers
All Motion CI speakers feature lightweight woven fiberglass cones specifically engineered for their application to blend seamlessly with the lightning speed of our signature Folded Motion Tweeter.
Built-In Enclosure
The MC4 has a sealed enclosure integrated into its design, which helps contain the sound coming off the back of the speaker to dramatically reduce unwanted sound that can travel through the floor and up into the living space above the speaker.

The XTC8 features our largest and highest performing FMT XT and a woven Kevlar woofer. With Motion XT, we wanted to increase all aspects of performance over the Motion series, so we didn’t just stop at the tweeter. All Motion XT models feature woven Kevlar woofers for increased rigidity and lightness which translates into better sound. In addition to the larger tweeter, and lighter, stronger woofers, MartinLogan’s design and engineering team has fitted the Motion XT series with a more substantial chassis to strengthen the speaker and provide a more accurate sound, like a better cabinet on a traditional speaker.
