Q: I just ordered this vacuum cleaner and I was wondering does it comes with the bag or do I need to purchase bags as well? Thank you

A: I purchased it as a gift but it uses the same bags I use on my C3. I bought a spare box of bags and as I recall it was $18.00 for 3 bags(good to have on hand). I prefer the bags to the constant cleaning I do with the Dyson I have. It's kind of a mess with our two Golden Retrievers.

A: Hello, Depending on your flooring the Compact C1 Turbo Team does a great job on pet hair. The unit has an air-driven brush roll (Not motor driven), and is designed for simpler, low to medium pile, carpets and rugs. We do manufacture a line of pet vacuums that we call Cat & Dog vacuums. If you home has more carpet. Or if your home has thicker more plush high pile carpet we would recommend investigating the Cat & Dog units. The other advantages of the Cat & Dog units; They come with a cleaning tool for your upholstery and other delicate surfaces. They have a height adjustable power driven brush roll. And, The Classic C1, Complete C3 and Dynamic U1 Cat & Dog models have an exhaust filter that has active charcoal that helps eliminate pet odor from the exhaust of the vacuum. Regards,

Q: Is this 'cleaning width" really 29.5"? Cannot imagine a vac head that wide. Please update/correct. I was ready to purchase until I spotted that error. Now I'm qusetioning eveyrthing else stated under specs.

A: Parquet brush width is about 11 1/2 inches and adequate. Turbo Comfort floorhead width is about 10 1/2 inches--I have not used this attachment--I have hardwood and vinyl floors throughout my house. I don't know why the specs list a cleaning path width of 29.5 inches. It could be an error on Best Buy's website. Miele's website says" 29 1/2 foot operating radius" for this vacuum. Not positive what that means other than perhaps the distance you can cover "in a circle" with the cord length? I suggest you look at Miele's website for specs.

Excellent vacuum for small homes!
First let me say I’m a vacuum collector so I am VERY picky when it comes to what machines I collect and use. This Miele is TINY bit packs a huge punch!!!!!! First impression is that it feels more powerful than the full sized Miele canister I have and that could be due to the smaller bag compartment concentrating the suction but it’s a little beast on hard floors and was pulling in particles about an inch in front of the nozzle into the machine and sucking the nozzle to the floor. The quality is typical Miele and is built beautifully even though this model is assembled in China using German parts. Miele’s other canisters are built in house in Germany and this one feels just as solid as my other machines. The turbo nozzle is excellent on area rugs and very low pile but it sucks on regular pile carpet (no pun intended lol). It bogs down on my plush red rug which doesn’t bother me because I know it’s not made for pile that high, my vintage green carpet with low and medium low sections it loves and my mothers carpet is a medium pile and it didn’t really groom it so that will get the power nozzles from other machines. All the other area rings in the house it performed as intended but doesn’t provide any agitation like a power nozzle. The cord is short! I had to use 3 different plugs to move around the whole house where I only use one central plug with my C3 canister and U1 upright. This model is fully sealed but doesn’t include a HEPA filter but you do get Miele’s air clean filter which combined with the bag has great filtration as is and is perfect for those that don’t suffer from bad allergies. You can however upgrade to a HEPA filter or the active air clean filter with activated carbon to reduce odors specifically for pet owners since their hair has oils on it that will turn rancid in the bag. The hose is the most flexible hose I have ever seen on a vacuum! It moves with you without fighting you or being too stiff and has a tiny bit of stretch to it as well. The hand grip has a built in suction relief valve for quick reduction of suck haha! The extension wand however doesn’t feel as smooth as the other wands I have which contain electrical connections for the power heads, it may just need a wipe down with WD40 and a nice buff to smooth things out. The tools on the C1 do not store inside the machine since it’s a compact model. Instead they store on a “C” shaped caddy that attaches to the base of the hose on the machine end. Included are a crevice tool, upholstery/stair tool and a synthetic bristle dusting brush which seems really stiff compared to the higher end horsehair dusting brush you get with higher end Miele’s so I wouldn’t use it on delicate surfaces. Also included is a horsehair parquet/hard floor brush which is very soft so it won’t scratch delicate floor finishes. This little guy will be perfect for days that I just want to clean hard floors, above floor dusting and jobs not requiring me to haul around my full sized C3 or S8. The C1 and C1 Turbo Team would be a perfect vacuum for those with limited carpet and lots of hardfloors along with someone that lives in a smaller home, apartment or dorm room. I would also recommend this to someone that is older and needs a lighter vacuum to use around the house! So all in all I’m happy with this little fella and I’ll enjoy using it for many years to come.

Packs a punch yet is lightweight
This vacuum cleaner has held up well so far. It’s lightweight, cleans floors very well and does not lose suction. I wish that it worked on carpet with higher pile. My old Miele vacuum cleaner had a powered cleaning head and did an incredible job on carpets. This little guy cleans rugs really well and is awesome on bare floors like wood and tile. It’s also very quiet, which I love, and the swivel head makes it so easy to maneuver under furniture.

Lightweight vacuum cleaner with handy features
I have a 1275 square foot house with wood and vinyl floors. The hardwood attachment has substantial soft bristles and glides easily over my wood floors. It appears to be picking up dirt well, although it does not have a feature that indicates when it is picking up dirt (my prior Sears Kenmore vacuum for wood floors lit up when picking up dirt.) It is very lightweight and easy for me to pull around the house. It is also very handy to have the clips on the side of the canister where you can insert the floor attachment to stand up as you are pausing while vacuuming. The cord return works well, and the cord is a decent length. I have to plug in about 4 times to complete my house. If the cord were another 3 to 6 feet longer, it would be nice. The selections of floor type, etc. are intuitive and easy to use--you don't have to spend a long time reading a manual to figure out how to use the vacuum cleaner. The only reservation I have about the product is durability over time. This is my first experience with this brand, and I have only owned it about a month and a half. If the vacuum cleaner doesn't perform over time, then the features above really don't matter. For now I am giving it 5 stars because it has really good features for the price with it's strongest point being a powerful motor in a lightweight canister vacuum.
