Buyer beware - we got a used machine sold as new
Buyer beware of Best Buy. We purchased this dishwasher brand new, and instead, Best Buy sold us a used and filthy unit. We paid to have it fully installed by Best Buy, and when we went to try to use it shortly after they left, we noticed a strong malodor, like Febreeze or a strong scent coming from the machine. We started inspecting the machine and noticed it had soap scum along the rubber trim, as well as a filthy and water-stained interior. I pulled the waste basket out from inside the machine, and it was filled with moldy, hairy residue from the prior owner. Lastly, the unit did not come with any of the factory tape or metal coverings. Definitely our bad for not inspecting the unit like detectives, but who thought Best Buy would try to pull a fast one and sell us a USED unit when we paid full price for a brand new unit. We called the driver shortly after he left, and he insisted it was brand new. So just BEWARE. Don't assume that because you purchase from a well known retailer that you can expect an ethical product. Shame on BB.
