Q: Why does this preamp have a "Line In" input? If the signal was already at line level, would this not render the preamp useless to begin with? Is it just for digital recording or does it somehow enhance audio quality to feed your phone's aux jack to it?

Q: Will this work with my Pioneer PL-7 turntable ? 1) Does it have RCA jacks ? 2) does it have a ground screw for my turntable ground wire to use ?

A: Actually, this unit does have RCA jacks for input from the turntable AND output to an amp/receiver. Not sure why someone would say it doesn't have jacks.
