Despite being in a 1BR only, issues with getting the best speed in my bedroom. Initially, I had the TP extender (almost 300 dollars later to enhance my interenet) but it was never the real solution. With the TP scandal surfacing, I embark on another mission to make my Verizon Fios work. I started initially with Erro 7 mesh, but it turned it out it was not better than my TP Extender. Fast forward, I went back - and low and behold, plugging in this beauty, the Nighthawk BE19000 finally for once and all, into the Verizon router resolved my issues. I can finally connect via WIFI my Samsung TV and Roku, plus Sonos to the same speed and agility of my internet like the rest of my "small" place - no satellite, nothing. My Nighthawk is next to my Verizon router - clean. I ran speedtest from my Samsung phone with wifi 7 - perfect score. My roku speed in the BR is the same speed as my Roku in the living room connected via Ethernet to the Verizon router. The beauty in all of this, the combination of all the Ethernet outlets from the Verizon router and the Nighthawk alled me to connect pretty much all my devices in the living room direclty to the Ethernet ports! All worked great out of the box, I run basically two different set of Wifi network, one is from the Verizon and one from the Nighthawk. I chose to run my IoT of things 2.4ghz from the Verizon Router, anything new and shiny due to the Wifi7 capabilities and all, from the Nighthawk, all semless. At this juncture, whatever i throw to the network at home, it works! I always thought my TV is "Old" but in fact, the streaming speed was simply weak when not connecting via ethernet to the Verizon router. All in all it makes sense, why would a telecom company provide bleeding edge equipment. I supect the chip, the memory and whatever goes into the modem/router combo won't match Netgear latest and greatest, it simply has the better muscle power. Too bad, i never done this - and bought a TP extender for almost 300 bucks - anyway, hopefully, my set up last for a while. But -yes- buy your own router equipment -!! Best Buy to the rescue again..

I got tired of my Linksys router not staying online, so I bit the bullet and shelled out the $$ to get this router. It's been ROCK SOLID. No internet drops. It handles my security system flawlessly. Internet coverage is great throughout my 2300 SQ FT house. Reliable. It's worth the extra money.
