Roll this NewAir evaporative cooler wherever it's needed for a burst of cool air. Ideal for climates with high temperatures and low humidity, this oscillating fan and cooler features three speeds to help take the edge off a hot day. This NewAir evaporative cooler holds 1.76 gallons of water, which is enough for a few hours of cooling.

Note: This unit is not an air conditioner and does not have a compressor or condenser inside. Evaporative coolers are designed for spot cooling and will not lower a room's ambient temperature. This unit is best used in dry climates or open spaces. Keep a window or door open to limit the rise of humidity and for better ventilation. Add ice to the tank and set the unit near you for optimal results.

  • Up to 250 sq. ft. cooling capacity: Keeps your living space comfortable.
  • Removable 1.76-gal. water tank: Makes refilling easy.
  • Remote control included: Ensures convenient use.
  • Dust air filter: Improves air quality.
  • Three fan speeds: Keep cold air moving at the speed of your choice for custom comfort.
  • Timer: Enables preset operation and reduces energy consumption.
  • Oscillating fan: Distributes cool air to most room areas and helps eliminate hot spots.
  • Digital display: Illuminates the current settings for added visibility.
  • Up to 66dB: Allows you to enjoy your product without noisy operational sounds.

Product Manuals

Q: Mine is making a loud screeching sound, no matter what setting it is on. I have no idea how to fix this, and the company hasn't responded to my emails.

A: So I have found out that that screech noise is due to the bearings being dry of grease so its basically wearing itself out..the company does not disclose ANY information about dry bearings (they are located in the small circle of the fan face). It is tricky and risky to dismantle the entire fan blade face. I had to get help in removing the covers without popping plastic everywhere. Just a few days ago I unscrewed every corner of the 110S cooling unit and found out that unscewing the whole body does not do anything except help eliminate the motor from dust and debris...and when I got to the front fan face and popped off the gray and black small center circle i noticed clumps of grease bellowing out of that circle...grease keeps things from having too much friction...during my clean mode state of I mind, I just blew over any physics lessons in my head that parts that rotate need lubricant so that they dont wear out faster... All in all. If you hear that persistent howl or loud screech as if someone was shoving a wooden plank across a black board. Turn off the Luma completely and wait until you find proper grease like bike chain grease or white lithium grease to get those bearings going normally. I also suggest doing a thorough cleaning of the unit too as you will see a big big increase in air flow once that

Q: Does this unit require outside venting? Will it actually cool a room similar to what an actual air conditioner might? Thank you in advance

A: Audrey...I bought this Lumix and returned it because it broke after 3 days.....BUT I was not impressed with its cooling capabilities. I ended up buying a used one built in Australia which hold 4.5 gallons which I love. The Lumix holds maybe a gallon. I think an important part of the 'cooling factor' is how large the tank is.

Q: Would this unit help make a screened-in porch more liveable?

A: It would take the edge off the heat nicely. It's probably best suited for 250-350 sq ft rooms and it has a decently powered fan and "swing" function that spreads out the airflow. I'm using mine in a 300 sq ft room with mostly windows and doors and it's able to take the room from 90 to 80 degrees ambient and if it's blowing on you it feels nice and cool. The remote is a nice bonus and you can supplement their ice packs with real ice for highest impact cooling. The unit is a bit "tippy", maybe not recommended around active kids/pets.

Q: How long does this unit cool when full with 1.8 gallons of water? Could a full water tank last 12 hours?

A: A full tank should last around 5-6 hours under relatively dry conditions.

Q: is quiet set?

A: no, its a noticeable noise.

Q: Does this fan purify the air at all?

A: No, you would need to buy an air purifier separate,. But it does have a cool/humidify mode

Q: Does the evaporators cooler work in the humidity of Mountain View.

A: Hello and thank you for contacting NewAir. The EC111B works best in very low humidity areas. We recommend they be used in areas where humidity levels are well below 40%. Anything higher will only be adding humidity instead of having a cooling effect. Thank you, NewAir Appliances
