Someone asked if this unit was self cleaning and the company answered that it wasn’t. If it’s not self cleaning, how come in the description it says it is self cleaning. Is it or is it not self cleaning? If it isn’t please remove from the description.

How frequently do you need to change out/drain the water? i.e. you only use it on weekends so would you need to drain the remaining water on Sunday for use when you want to make more ice the following Friday? Or is it safe to the leave water?
Answered by AwesomeWater should never sit more than 24 hours if not in use. Recommend refilling and cleaning at least 24 hours before use.
