  • General
    • Brand: Nikon
    • Model Number: 13543
    • Product Name: D7500 DSLR 4K Video Two Lens Kit with 18-55mm and 70-300mm Lenses
    • Color: Black
    • Product Set: w/ 18-55mm and 70-300mm Lenses
    • Camera Model Family: Nikon D7500
    • Digital Camera Type: DSLR Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: APS-C (23.6 x 15.7 mm)
    • Image Resolution (Display): 4272 x 2848 (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Zoom Capability: true (This function allows for magnification of the subject.)
    • Digital Zoom: None (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, RAW (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): true (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: 30 - 1/8000 (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: 3.5 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: 5.6 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Minimum ISO: 100 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. When there is plenty of light, using the lowest ISO setting available will typically result in a higher quality image.)
    • Maximum Expandable ISO: 1640000 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. Expandable ISO settings use software to simulate brighter images than the device's native ISO range is capable of capturing.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Self Timer: true
    • Self-Timer Delay: 10 seconds, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 20 seconds
    • Shooting Modes: Autumn color; landscape; portrait mode; close-up; party/indoor; beach/snow; night portrait; children; food; night landscape; dawn/dusk; sports mode; sunset; candle; blossom; pet portrait (Exposure modes employed by the photographer to control the optimal aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and other settings for capturing specific subjects/scenes. Examples include Aperture-Priority, Macro, and Manual modes.)
    • Scene Modes: Autumn color; landscape; portrait mode; close-up; party/indoor; beach/snow; night portrait; children; food; night landscape; dawn/dusk; sports mode; sunset; candle; blossom; pet portrait (Exposure modes with predetermined optimal settings for capturing specific scenes. Examples include Landcape, Portrait, and Sports modes.)
    • White Balance Modes: Incandescent; fluorescent; cloudy; sunlight; flash; shade; 2500K - 10000K (Settings that calibrates how the color white is rendered in an image/video, reducing the appearance of unnatural contrasts caused by various light sources.)
    • Effective Pixels: 20.9 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Mount Compatibility: Nikon DX
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 18 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 55 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • In-Lens Image Stabilization: true (This feature helps reduce image blurring from camera motion. Lens stabilization means an element within the lens moves automatically to counteract detected motion.)

Q: Hi. I’m looking for a camera to take action shots in a low light sports setting. Like under the lights at a night football game, or in a gymnasium for a basketball game. My current camera is too slow, the pics are grainy or blurry. Would this camera work?

A: Yes it will. Shooting in manual mode recently I took several nice pictures at a rodeo event. Using Slight exposure compensation (+.03) and an ISO of 10,000 with a shutter speed of 1/500 and aperature of 6.3 I shot about 600 frames. Only a handful of those we’re underexposed (my fault). I was using the kit lens 70-300 mm at 300 mm (450 crop mode). If you’re not familiar shooting in manual it may take a little practice, but I found the camera very intuitive.

Q: Hello, I have a question regarding the two lenses supplied with this D7500 DSLR kit. Are both lenses DX VR or only one of them? I see two answers, I see a "Yes both are VR" and a "One lens is VR and one is regular". So what is the correct one? Thank you.

A: The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G VR lenses that are included in this Nikon D7500 DSLR Kit both have built-in Vibration Reduction (VR).

Q: Please give us more information on the lenses. Do they have vr swm and aperture etc.

A: The Nikon D7500 comes with the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR. Nikon's "P" series of NIKKOR lenses use a pulse motor to focus smoother and quieter than previous drive systems. Both lenses also have built-in VR to improve image stability. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR is an aspherical lens, which is helpful in reducing aberrations and enables a more compact lens size. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR is equipped with ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass, an optical glass developed by Nikon that is used with normal optical glass in telephoto lenses to obtain optimum correction of chromatic aberrations. For more information on the technology of these lenses, please contact Nikon Support.

Q: I was wondering if this also came with a battery and battery charger or not. Please let me know, thanks!

A: The Nikon D7500 will include a battery as well as a battery charger.

Q: will lenses from the D3200 work with this camera?

A: Yes, any Nikkor AF, AF-S or AF-P type lens that you may have had with your D3200 will work on the Nikon D7500.
