The RØDE VideoMic Pro+ is a premium on-camera microphone for capturing broadcast-grade audio in a wide range of filmmaking scenarios. With an expansive feature set and superior sound quality, it is the go-to microphone for countless content creators, offering the ultimate in performance and versatility.
The RØDE VideoMic Pro is a true shotgun microphone designed for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders as a source of primary and reference audio. At the heart of the VideoMic Pro is an all-new 1/2” condenser capsule that provides broadcast-quality audio via a 3.5mm minijack connector (outputting the mono signal to both left and right channels) with an incredibly low self-noise of just 14db. A supercardioid polar pattern ensures that surrounding audio is minimised, and your recording is focused on the subject in front of the camera.
The Sony ECM-MS2 Stereo Electret Condenser Microphone is a compact, professional solution designed for use with camcorders that feature dual XLR inputs and 48V phantom powering. Measuring just 5.39" in length, the ECM-MS2 avoids obstructing the camera’s lens, preventing vignetting when mounted on compact handheld camcorders such as the PMW-100. This short form factor also makes the microphone easy to transport and pack with smaller equipment kits. Internally, the ECM-MS2 uses MS decoding to provide left and right stereo outputs, ensuring balanced stereo sound reproduction. For added versatility, it supports mono operation by simply disabling phantom power to the right XLR channel, an ideal setup when combining the microphone with wireless systems or when only single-channel audio is needed for environmental sounds. Its dual XLR3P outputs ensure professional-quality connectivity, while the rugged all-metal housing reduces vibration, resonance, and RF interference, preserving clean and natural audio performance in both field and studio applications. A supplied furry windscreen is included to suppress outdoor wind noise, making it well suited for news gathering and documentary shooting in challenging environments. A cable tie is also provided to secure the unused right-channel cable when working in mono mode. Fully compatible with models including the Sony PMW-100, NEX-FS700, and HXR-NX30 camcorders, the ECM-MS2 integrates seamlessly into professional workflows. With its combination of portability, stereo and mono flexibility, durable construction, and professional-grade sound, the Sony ECM-MS2 is an essential microphone for content creators working in both field and studio production environments.Manufacturer Items Include:Sony ECM-MS2 Stereo Electret Condenser MicrophoneWindscreenCable TieBundle Items Include:Sony ECM-MS2 Stereo Electret Condenser MicrophoneCable TiesMicrofiber ClothMic Cleaner
