Combining a new bold look with the innovation that the 3XL series is known for, PowerBass created our most accomplished High Output Subwoofer to date. The 3XL series have beed designed to withstand the extreme heat that the new generation Class D Amplifiers create. Class D Amplifiers heat up the woofers voice coil two to three times hotter and faster than than a conventional class A/B amplifier. This calls for Xtreme measures and special parts to classify these as a true Class D Subwoofer. The 3XL 10" Subwoofers all feature 3" HD BASV voice coil formers high temperature voice coil winding to help dissipate heat. To allow full movement of the cone, we utilize an ultra high roll foam surround that increases the cone area for higher output along with linear cone stability throughout the subwoofers peak excursion. The Pioneer® TS-A2500LB A-Series Shallow Mount Preloaded Enclosure has a 10-in. subwoofer already positioned inside. It is compact and space-saving for optimal use of space. The enclosure is shallow enough for mounting in a wide variety of vehicles, including pickup trucks with standard or extended-cab models. Its unique design allows it to be mounted upright, lying flat facing upwards, or configured in a down-firing position. The enclosure is fully carpeted with an embroidered Pioneer® logo, creating a nonslip and scratch-resistant surface. This shallow-mount preloaded enclosure provides a maximum power of 1,200 watts with continuous 300 watts RMS. The subwoofer features a glass-fiber and mica-interlaced, injection-molded polypropylene IMPP™ cone with a 2-ohm single voice coil. The subwoofer is also fully protected by a steel mesh grille.
