Q: Do I have to charge anything first
A: Mine arrived 100% charged when I turned it on for the first time and dropped to 98% after I played around with the multi-function led lights.
Q: Where do the cables plug into the unit. I don’t have the manual. Where can I get one?
A: With the unit in the position with you facing the front, with the led screen and red power button on top, the cables plug in under the liftable tab on the left side. They are polarized so you can't plug them into the wrong holes. The manual is just simple basic info. It doesn't even tell you how to recharge it or come with a required usb-c and charging block.
