    Easy Setup, Works with XBOX

    Unlike many universal remotes, the setup doesn't require much explanation. Hold the button down that you want to program (keep it pressed down) while typing in the listed code for your device. Done. That's it. No waiting for the light to blink 3 times, and press this button and that button etc. etc. etc. 2 steps, it's that simple. The TV in my bedroom is about 6 years old and for whatever reason I couldn't get a couple other cheaper universal remotes to work with it, but this one works great. Full functionality with the menu, etc. I got this for $10.99 on clearance, so I'm pretty happy with the deal I got, but would've still been happy had I paid the full $24.99 that it's listed for on the site as I write this. (But maybe just swing by your local store before buying online to check) The kicker? it works with my XBOX One. It turns it off and on, full functionality with menu controls etc. I'm very happy about this, as this is nothing but a bonus as I didn't realize it was compatible until I read another review on here. I'm gonna go see if it flushes my toilet next, but even if doesn't, I would still highly recommend this (don't forget to check for it on clearance)

    Good, not great

    It is programmed with Samsung TVs and works ok with the smart functions. But, in the apps like Hulu and Netflix, you have to exit the program and reopen to watch another episode. The remote will not back out of an episode as I was told it would.

    This remote works with my Roku

    The remote control for my Roku Express, which works in infrared only (not wifi like all other Roku remotes) died. This universal remote saved my Roku, as it would be pointless without a remote. In addition, I linked all the other devices to it and now I am saving a small fortune in batteries. Only problem is some of the buttons are small and close together and my fingernails accidentally hit additional unintended buttons.

    Works great, but...

    The good = it worked right out of the box. All functions work appropriately. The bad = the input function is at the bottom of the remote control. Then you have to readjust your hands to move up and scroll up and down to choose input. The input button should be right next to the arrow buttons.

  • Will this remote work for a Samsung 4k player?

    I don’t have any Samsung products, but it does work with my Apple TV 4K, my Sony blue ray, Toshiba and LG players and my Panasonic TV. Everything that it said it would work with, it does and the pairing is pretty straightforward and easy. If it says it will pair with Samsung, then I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Hope this is helpful.

  • Does this remote work with the 2017 insignia Roku TV?

    It should work but just be aware that you may not get all functions from the remote as compared to the original remotes. As an example I could not get into my TV's tool menu and thus I could not get to the sleep timer which I use all the time. I suspect this will happen with other devices also. You will get the basic functions only. As far as other devices such as the Roku, it will work but be aware if you have the earlier Roku that had the RF remote, the range with this remote will be limited as this remote is IR only and thus is line of sight. You have to be directly pointing at the device for it to work. I have discovered that unfortunately, unless you get the real expensive remotes for over 200 dollars which you can program, these remotes are compromises at best.
