A: Hello Jason! Since the remote works after unplugging the TV, this isn't a battery issue. The TV may be stuck in standby. Try a full power reset (unplug for 5 minutes and hold the TV's power button for 15-20 seconds), turn off Fast TV Start, and make sure the TV is plugged directly into the wall. If it keeps happening, it's likely a hardware issue and support should be contacted.
