A: If you are referring to the original black remote that comes with the older generations of the Apple TV, this case would not fit that remote. The newer silver remote is thicker and slightly longer and this case is made to fit that remote. The black remote is much thinner--this case would be too big. As far as the silver remote, it fits really well and is easy to put on. It is nice to have a case for the apple tv remote--it gives it a little more heft and keeps it from sliding into couch cushions.
