SANDISK - 500GB Optimus GX 7100 PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD

This Sandisk is a key back up for numerous files and pictures including chapters for a memoir and is attached to my desktop, which was getting too full. This is an external drive ported into my desktop. I hadn't realized how small these things are now. But as my current desktop is in the bottom nook of my desk, next to the printer, I worry about accidentally kicking the the front of my exposed computer's front inputs. To remedy this, I cut up some wooden yard sticks and slid them into wood screws supporting tops and bottom. They remove if I need to pull the computer out for cleaning the area or plugging other things in. The vulnerability of of the sandisk on a short cable and its normal and easy plug-in to desk to the port was solved. Perhaps I could have bought and external cable to situate it elsewhere under my desk, but this set up is working fine. There have been no problems with the Sandisk and I'm glad to have this amount of storage and backup to all my files.

The hard drive works. I made an appointment with Geek Squad where I dropped the computer off. I had to make a second appointment in order for Geek Squad to order a replacement hard drive. For some reason the hard drive had to be delivered to my house. I had to set up a third Geek Squad appointment to drop the hard drive off at Best Buy. Three days later I had to set up a fourth Geek Squad appointment to pick up my computer. This entire process needs to be streamlined.

Sped up my processin time and took an update without locking up.

Got 2 for my NAS and they work well. Unfortunately, due to cost, I could only justify the 500GB instead of 1TB or 2TB.

Worked very well on a HP Pro Mini 400 G9 that had the stock NVMe failing and causing BSODs. This replacement is working like a champ, even in that enclosed chassis which traps heat like there's no tomorrow. Very happy with it!
