Q: How does the shark compare with the Dyson models?
A: Don't have this model but I can say the Dyson is good for pet hair but not for pieces like cat food. Battery dies quickly and I have had problems charging. Wouldn't buy the Dyson again
Q: How long do the vacuum batteries last and how much is a backup battery.
A: This is a corded vacuum which I feel is much better than a battery operated.
Q: What is best vacuum for tile and wood floors? Please give selection for 120v and battery.
A: I like my Shark - Rocket DeluxePRO Bagless Vacuum on tile and wood floors. It goes easily from rug to floor and it does a good job even without changing the head to the floor attachment. It does a better job than the Shark Lift-away model did. I like the cord as it never runs out of power. This model doesn't take up much storage space.
Q: How is this vac for pet hair? I have a dog and 3 cats.
A: It is good for pet hair. I have a dog and I have no problem vacuuming up the hair.
Q: how do you clean the filter
A: It is recommend to clean the filter every month. To wash, simply remove the filter lid, remove the foam and felt filters underneath, wash both with tap water until the water runs clean, then air dry completely and replace back into your vacuum. You can also tap loose dirt off filters between washes as needed.
