From the receiver end, how many feet until the first speaker hook-up spot?
Answered by Sonance TeamHi, Thank you for your question. The harness includes a 5" lead that connects to the amplifier end. The branch cable supplied for connecting the amplifier to the harness measures 1" in length and is designed for outdoor-rated 4-conductor speaker wire, allowing you to extend the harness to your desired length. Can I use this cable for the 6 speakers and 1 subwoofer system? how far is each connector from each other?
Answered by Sonance TeamHi, Thanks for your question. Yes, the 8+2 Outdoor Wiring Harness can be used with the MAG6.1 (6-speaker + 1 subwoofer) landscape system. It’s designed to support up to 8 satellite speakers and up to 2 subwoofers, so you would simply use 6 of the speaker connectors and 1 of the subwoofer connectors, leaving the remaining connectors unused. For spacing, the harness is built with about 10 feet of cable between each connector, and we recommend that typical speaker placement is approximately 8–10 feet apart. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our California-based support team at 949-492-7777.
