A: I have both and I would choose the Sony speaker.
A: Hi DJ, thank you so much for your question. Unfortunately, no. The SRSXB33 is a Bluetooth-only speaker. The USB Type-C port of this speaker is for charging use only. You might consider getting our XB43 which features Aux in (3.5 mm) port. I hope this helps! - Romeo
Q: Can I connect this speaker to my Sony smart tv

A: It connects to any Bluetooth enabled phone/laptop.
Q: Are the lights always on during use or is there option to shut them off while listening to music?
A: YES, THERE IS A SETTING IN THE BACK TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF. I'M GLAD BECAUSE THOSE LIGHTS WOULD HAVE DRIVEN ME NUTS.

A: Don't see why not has port behind speaker
