    Clever, useful little plug-in!

    If you need or want to be able to use SDXC memory cards (or if you use them to extend storage), but your computer or laptop lacks the necessary memory slot, this is great: just put them in this lightweight device, and plug it into a simple USB port, and voila!

    Great card reader for SD cards requiring USB-C

    I have a MacBook Pro with only the USB-C interface. I needed a very quick way to move data from micro SD card from my drone and SD from camera to the MacBook Pro. This device fits the bill perfectly without requiring any other adapters (should not need one in the first place - thanks Apple) It also has a slot for the larger but older SD card should you need it. The data transfer rate is very speedy. I am extremely happy with this card reader.

    THIS GADGET IS FANTASTIC!

    I needed a card reader to transfer videos to my computer and the StarTech reader seemed to be the better of the two choices Best Buy offered. It worked instantly and transferring the video files was unbelievably simple. This device works very well. Instructions are easy - just make sure you eject it from your computer properly, whether it be a Mac or PC. I don't have much more to say, except I highly recommend this device!

    Great for Photo SD card

    New Lenovo laptop did not have SD card slot. I need to process pictures from DSLR and this works great.

  • I have a mess of what I used to be called "FLOPPY DISCS". The new computers no longer have a Slot to read or view them. It was a Sonny Camera. Will this devise be able to read them?
