Great sound. Basically noise canceling. The pairing for the dongle or bluetooth works great.

Was in need of new headset so I bought these. At first I was skeptical because I didn't know if I was going to like them. But I'm glad I did, the sound is good, I have no complaints so far. They are worth it to me. So I would recommend them to family members!
I am a consistent and avid gamer and I have owned and tested numerous headsets over the years. Initial setup and connecting seemed more difficult than it should have been and subsequent attempts to connect have been inconsistent. There certainly are good things to say about this headset but there are also things on the opposite end of the spectrum to say. Let's start with the positive. The packaging is amazing! The box that it comes in is ultra slim profile and when I got it my first question was what the quality of the headset would be given the packaging however SteelSeries managed to ultra-efficiently package all the required components into this slimlined presentation. I must admit that the build of the headset felt light to me and I questioned its durability not having any visible metal components. It does feel comfortable on the head and it has an adjustable and flexible headband. It only has one volume adjustment wheel on the headset and controlling gameplay vs chat volumes need to be done through the downloadable app. The sound quality is good and it has a detachable mic. It advertises over 200 sound settings but I'm Xbox is much less. Regardless, the available settings through the app are labeled by what game is played. The option to customize your own equalization exists but cannot be done through the app itself. My guess is it needs to be connected to a computer for that luxury. Regardless, for me, when it works it works fine but I've had multiple times where it didn't 'just work's by turning it on and getting into gameplay. I want to score it higher than I did and will do so if I find out the difficulties I've experienced were due to my user error. Caveat Emptor.
