I recently upgraded to the TCL 98" 98QM751G, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This TV has truly transformed my home entertainment experience giving me a fully immersive movie theater experience at home.
The Picture Quality on this TV is nothing short of spectacular. The colors are incredibly vibrant and lifelike, thanks to the QD-Mini LED technology. The brightness levels are impressive, making every scene pop with clarity, even in well-lit rooms. The contrast is deep and rich, providing stunning detail in both dark and bright scenes. Whether I’m watching a movie, sports, or playing video games, the visual experience is consistently top-notch.
What I enjoy even more is that its not using a brand proprietary OS And instead uses the Google TV operating system which a game-changer. It’s intuitive, fast, and packed with features. Navigating through apps and settings is a breeze, and the voice control with Google Assistant is incredibly convenient. I can easily search for content, control smart home devices, and get answers to questions without lifting a finger. The integration with Google services makes it a seamless addition to my smart home ecosystem as it fully supports all the major streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+. The apps run smoothly, and the 4K HDR content looks stunning. The built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay support make it easy to stream content from my pixel and ipad directly to the TV.
When comparing this model to the Samsung 98-Inch QN90D 4K QLED TV, the TCL 98QM751G stands out as a better value. The Samsung model, while excellent, comes at a significantly higher price point1. The TCL offers similar, if not better, performance in terms of picture quality and features, all at a more affordable price. Plus, the Google TV operating system on the TCL is more user-friendly and versatile compared to the sow and buggy Samsung’s Tizen OS1.
Set-up was a breeze as I was able to do it easily through my phone. I mounted the TV with just 1 person helping, but the box allows you stand it and add the mounting brackets very easily. The TV itself is much thinner than I expected for such a large screen. I ended up using spacers and a low profile mount from BBY so that I had a little more room off the wall which I like in case I need to add more connections.
Overall, the TCL 98QM751G is an outstanding TV that delivers exceptional picture quality, a fantastic operating system, and great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment setup.
