I don't want to be to hasty here, but I think this keyboard is "the one." The switches are fantastic. They are super responsive, and the overall aesthetic is really nice with the exposed switch design. I genuinely love the way they feel and sound while I'm typing—they have a satisfying, crisp sound without being overly loud. The compact layout is awesome for saving space on my desktop, letting me fling my mouse around and giving me plenty of room for my gaming keypad. However, I do notice the difference when I'm typing; just writing this review makes the tighter grouping noticeably obvious. I might teach myself to live with it (and the absence of a 10 key number pad) and just use this as my everyday keyboard because the rest of the experience is so good. I'm a beginner to keyboard customization, and this a great fit for me. It's compatible with many aftermarket switches, making it easy to learn as I go. The box includes a key and switch puller, which is a nice touch, and three extra switches. A quick note of caution: the extra switches come in an unmarked black box, and I almost tossed them with the rest of the packaging. The companion software, Swarm II, is intuitive and lightweight. I am not a peripheral brand loyalist and usually dread dealing with yet another separate profiling app, but Turtle Beach makes this very easy on me. There are no outright negatives to speak of here. This is a solid, responsive, and stylish keyboard that grows on me the more I use it.

The Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL is a modern looking, low profile, ten-keyless mechanical gaming keyboard. It's built with Titan HS Linear switches that are fast and responsive. I've put it through its paces with various games and also boring productivity tasks for work. It holds up well and I'll let you know what I like and any suggestions I might have. - Design/Build/Unboxing - The box is basic with a keyboard, Wired USB-C to USB-A cable, The Vulcan II TKL is low profile with a floating key style that reveals the switch housing. Nothing feels cheap and the keys are responsive. It looks great on my desk. It's ten-keyless, built for gaming, but it also has a very convenient volume key where you can feel each turn of the dial and push the button in to mute. There are double kickstands and anti-slip feet. It's made out of a hard-plastic but the top has a textured aluminum finish. It's pretty light but it does stay in place as it should. * Specs/Features * The Vulcan II TKL has a lot of features. There are Titan HS switches, pre-lubed and rated for about 50 million keystrokes. There's sound dampening foam, Full Key (NKRO), anti-ghosting and a 1000Hz polling rate. All of the customization is handled through the swarm app that I have found works well and easy to navigate. There are hot-swappable keys (3-pin and 5-pin.) I removed the key and switch easily and can attest it works as advertised. - ReacTap lets you bind two keys for faster reactions, you can save your combos to your profile. - Smart shortcuts lets you launch Xbox game bar features like screen recording, screenshots, and HDR toggle. - You can bind keys to launch AI tools - There is endless customization depending on which mode you choose: Primary, FN, Game Mode - Easy Shift Layers to customize outputs such as Hot Keys, Macros, and Remapping - Per Key RGB, Custom Effect Lighting - You can setup profiles and even launch specific ones depending on the app * Performance * This keyboard is a perfectly competent performer. I play mostly FPS and the keyboard kept up without any issue. It's fast, responsive, and the 1.8mm actuation is perfect for my style. All key presses registered immediately with no lag and the full NKRO and anti-ghosting worked in the most chaotic moments of the game. There were no accidental key presses and no slipping when typing the keys. No matter what you hear, the switches are extremely easy to switch out in a matter of seconds (with the tool provided), and it's nice they're compatible with other keys if that's your preference. The customization in the swarm app is endless. It's also nice that they have macro groups for specific games. I was able to jump into Apex Legends and change the trigger, delays, and repeat for each key to match my gaming preferences. RGB Lighting has 9 presets and is easy to customize. * Pros/Cons * * Pros * * Fast, smooth, and quiet * Titan HS Switches * Switches are easy to change-out * Beautiful Design * Swarm software works good * Volume knob is a great addition * Suggestions/Needs Improvement * * Keycaps will pick up fingerprints * Wrist rest would be nice * Software crashed a few times, probably needs an update The Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Wired Keyboard is a great looking and solid performing gaming keyboard. It's hot swappable and easy to customize, including a ton of presets for games and apps. I recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade.

I think that Turtle Beach hit the nail on the head with this keyboard! Based on the Vulcan keyboards from Roccat that they acquired years ago, they continue to preserve this amazing form factor and build style in the current iteration of the keyboards. With this particular model of the Vulcan II TKL, you get hot-swappable mechanical switches on a detachable USB-C wired keyboard with a brushed metal keyboard deck, resulting in a quality experience that exceeds expectations for the price tag. My entire experience with this keyboard has been great because I feel like Turtle Beach delivered exactly the experience I have come to enjoy on the Vulcan keyboard line. The key caps included are truly a great look that I think sets this keyboard apart from many competitors with typical full PCB keycaps, but I appreciate that Turtle Beach ensured that compatibility remains in place so that you can swap in other keycaps if you have ones that you prefer to go with your included red linear switches present here. I think again, circling back, that simplicity and utility are what I appreciate so much about this gaming keyboard. This has just enough bells and whistles, like the programmable knob at the top left, to help elevate the keyboard experience, but it keeps the core details that are most important to gamers, such as excellent switches and reliable, responsive keyboard functionality. I tested this keyboard with one of my most frenetic and high-movement games, Doom Eternal, and found that it was more than up to the challenge of rapid and multiple key strokes while I was grappling around arenas in Nightmare difficulty. Altogether, I think this is a great keyboard for beginners to intermediate-level gamers, and I recommend trying it out if you are interested!
