Q: Can you connect this to your phones hot spot when driving??
A: From my use so far I don’t believe so. The device records at all time but the purpose of the data plan is to receive real-time alerts if the device detects a bump or impact. I assume you are asking if that can be done to avoid the cost of the data plan, if not I don’t know what the reason would be to try connecting to the phone hotspot.
Q: Does this network use sim card or what?
A: It comes with its own sin and you would have To go to the Wayland's website to add 90 days to year it's 29.99 for 3 months and 99.99 for a year
Q: does the camera still record when engine is off?
A: It does not record when the engine is off, but it does record anything that bumps the car.
Q: Instead of connecting it to the fuse, can i connect it to a dashcam battery like cellink?
A: undefined
A: I’m sure it would vary by car but with mine mounted at the bottom of the windshield I still have an impressive view of the interior of the vehicle. The only thing you can’t see are my hips and legs and that is with the camera angled to see the hood and front of the vehicle appropriately.
Q: Do you have to buy a plan or can you just use the SD card for viewing
A: Can use connected phone within bluetooth range
