A: Unfortunately, no. The m.2 drive comes with a card with the game activation code. You will not be able to active the game until you have the m.2 drive.
Q: Is this SSD compatible with the PS5?
A: Hi Rooq, Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD.
