A: Unfortunately, I had the exact same experience. Whirlpool was unwilling to stand by their product and essentially said they were throwing up their hands for any time period not explicitly covered by the warranty. The best thing you can do is accurately inform other would-be buyers that Whirlpool creates substandard products and they are not worth your money or trust.

Great brand but could be more efficient
Great brand great appliance, but could this dryer be more efficient? several times when loading big capacity we need to use more time to get things dry

Dry fluffy clothes!
We've been using our new Whirlpool dryer for a few weeks, and we're quite satisfied with our new and very modern looking appliance. This dryer is workhorse ! It efficiently handles various load sizes, including larger items like blankets and towels, all while sporting an appealing, sleek design. It reminded us of the 'The Autopilot " from the movie "WALL-E" for those of you who have seen that legendary movie. Only minor observation we've made is that when we use the Eco setting, a single cycle may not completely dry the load, requiring an aditional rerun. Overall, we're very pleased with the performance of this dryer!

Excellent dryer
I like the look of this dryer. It isn't too loud and it's been efficient at sensing how wet clothes and other things are.
